What Is the GTA Mzansi Series?
GTA Mzansi is a scripted, episodic drama filmed inside GTA 5 roleplay and set in a South African world — townships, taxis, SAPS and trips to places like Tembisa and Cape Town. The first episode, “Welcome To Mzansi”, went up in June 2023, and the story has run across four seasons since.
Black Driver describes the films as being made to inspire young South Africans to make the right choices, with the message that crime does not pay. One name to watch for is Madanone, who turns up in Season 2 episode titles and in the Season 4 trailer, “The Rise Of Madanone”.
